The Police Department Has a Tesla: Answers to Your Most Asked Questions
Did you get to see the new Tesla in the Maple Leaf Parade? City Council authorized the purchase last fall and it’s now in use as a patrol vehicle. Lots of people have questions, and answers are available now on the City website.
Groundbreaking Ceremony
On Thursday afternoon October the 26th, City officials, Community Center committee members, donors, and contractors held a groundbreaking ceremony at the former gymnasium now in the process of being remodeled into a Community Center.
Funding for this project is coming from three revenue streams:
Quality of Life Sales Tax
Historical Building Restoration Tax credits
Generous donations from businesses and individuals

This weekend is full of events in Baldwin City, with High Street closed most of the day Saturday for the Rec Commission’s Maple Leaf Gravel Grind, followed by the Maple Leaf Beer, Wine, & Spirits Fest. Hometown Halloween is also downtown on Tuesday from 5-7pm.
