Call for Volunteers
The Baldwin City Recreation Commission is in need of volunteers for the July 3rd festivities. Help is needed in the Kid’s Zone and in the VIP tent. They will need at least 6 volunteers to work through the afternoon.

Independence Day Celebration
Saturday, July 3rd, get over to the Baldwin City Golf Course for Baldwin City's Independence Day Celebration, planned and orchestrated by the Recreation Commission. There will be live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and an expanded Kid's Zone. Of course there will be a firework finish, courtesy of the City.
National recording artists Adam Doleac and Dylan Schneider take the stage after the opening by Kansas City favorite, Big Time Grain Company.
The festivities get underway at 4:30pm on July 3rd and end with fireworks at 10:00 p.m.

Fireworks in Town
Speaking of fireworks, here’s what City Code specifies:
You may set off fireworks inside city limits between 8am and Midnight from June 27th through July 5th.
No bottle rockets or similar allowed.
No personal fireworks at the July 3rd festivities, please just enjoy the professional display.
